Transformation for the sister of the bride
For years I’ve been delighted to alter and do modifications to beautiful wedding dresses for brides who belong to the Christian Plymouth Brethren church. A couple of years ago the sister of one of these brides asked me to do a little transformation to the dress she was going to wear for her sister’s wedding. She showed me an image of what she liked – it was a beautiful dress with fantastic statement sleeves. This was to be used as an influence.
I set about creating statement sleeves for her dress in a rich, wine red – perfect for her sister’s wedding which was taking place in the American midwest in the winter.
She was delighted with the end result and the dress went down very well at the wedding!
I think these statement sleeves would look stunning on a wedding dress too (in ivory).
